Control panel building: designed, wired and documented from one source

I build control panels for machines and production lines to EN 60204-1. I support you from circuit diagram to commissioning, in Burgenland, Vienna, Lower Austria and throughout Austria.

When the control panel becomes the bottleneck

For special-purpose machines and modifications, the control panel is often the last piece – and the one everyone is waiting for. For one-offs and small batches, free capacity is hard to find.

If design, assembly and programming are awarded separately, errors at the interfaces only show up at commissioning. Whoever builds the panel and also programs it knows the signals before it is switched on for the first time.

What I build for you

  • Circuit diagram and parts list

Created in EPLAN or based on your existing drawings.

  • Assembly and wiring

Mounting plate, cable ducts, wiring and labelling to the drawings.

  • Control and safety technology

PLC, safety relay or safety controller, frequency inverters and power supplies.

  • Testing

Testing to EN 60204-1 and routine verification to EN 61439 before delivery, with a test report.

  • Commissioning on the machine

Connection, signal test and function test, with the PLC program if you wish.

  • Documentation

As-built circuit diagram, parts list and test report, handed over digitally.

Technology and standards

Standards
EN 60204-1 for the electrical equipment of machines, EN 61439-1 and -2 for switchgear assemblies.
Components from practice
Rittal enclosures, Siemens controllers and Pilz safety technology.
Drives
Danfoss, SEW, Lenze and Schneider Electric.
Fieldbuses
Profinet, Profibus, AS-i and IO-Link.
Manufacturing
in my own workshop.

How an order runs

  1. Enquiry

You send the circuit diagram, schematic or a functional description.

  2. Fixed-price quote

I check the documents and give you a fixed price and delivery date.

  3. Build

The panel is assembled, wired and tested before delivery.

  4. Commissioning

Connection to the machine, signal test and handover of the documents.

From practice

Automatic test station for filling valves

For my master craftsman project in 2025 I designed and built the control panel myself. It houses a Siemens S7-1500 with ET200SP, an IO-Link master, Pilz safety relays and an SMC proportional pressure regulator. I drew the circuit diagram in EPLAN. The program was mine too, so panel and software fitted together at commissioning.

Frequently asked questions

Do you also build to our circuit diagram?

Yes. You supply the drawings, I build and wire to them. I report inconsistencies in the drawings before the build, not at commissioning.

Do you also make changes to existing control panels?

Yes, for example in a retrofit or when retrofitting safety technology. The changes are updated in the circuit diagram so that the documentation stays correct.

Do you also connect the control panel?

Yes, to an existing supply cable of sufficient rating. A new supply cable up to the main switch is installed by an electrical contractor; I coordinate the interface with them.

How long does a control panel take?

That depends on size, scope and the delivery times of the components. I give you the delivery date together with the fixed-price quote.
